Johnny Depp (57) will hear next week whether he will receive a rectification and compensation from the British newspaper ‘The Sun’. A judge in London will rule in the libel case on Monday, British media report.
he ruling follows a nearly three-week long lawsuit in July. Johnny had filed for a 2018 article in which the tabloid called him a “woman abuser” after allegations of his ex-wife Amber Heard. The 57-year-old actor denies that he is and believes that the newspaper cannot substantiate this claim. He demands a rectification of the article and substantial damages.
During the case, the marriage of Johnny and Amber was also frequently discussed. The exes accused each other in court of assault and denied having any loose hands.
