The actress believes that the pressure of social networks would be too much for her 13-year-old daughter.
Jennifer Garner has banned her teenage daughter from joining Instagram, insisting that social media pressure is too much for a 13-year-old girl.
The actress has a popular Instagram account and often posts photos of her and her pets on the site, but does not believe that young Violet can handle the scrutiny of others.
“Even if they don’t have known parents, I’m worried that all children will have to deal with this new pressure,” the star said during an appearance on the podcast ‘Next Question with Katie Couric’. “My daughter is in a girls’ school and it is a big problem.”
“Every now and then he talks to me about getting Instagram and I can see why, because I’m there and it’s a fun thing to do, and I’m modeling the opposite of what I want him to do.”
“I just say: ‘When you can show me studies that say teenage girls are happier using Instagram, then we can have the conversation… I don’t see anything positive for you out there. You can look at mine whenever you want, we can review it together, but I just don’t see it. ”
The actress has three children from her marriage to Ben Affleck. In addition to Violet (13 years old), he has Samuel (7 years old) and Seraphina (10 years old).
