Anthony Mackie and Elizabeth Banks will perform Johnnie Cochran and Mary Neiswender.
After playing in 2005 in Ray, Jamie Foxx will once again collaborate with Taylor Hackford in his upcoming film Signal Hill. Indeed, according to Deadline, the actor joined the cast and will play Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt, the former leader of the Black Panther Party, the African-American liberation movement created in 1966.
Anthony Mackie ( Captain America: Civil War ) will perform Johnnie Cochran, the famous OJ Simpson case lawyer and Elizabeth Banks ( Hunger Games ) will be Mary Neiswender, a reporter for the Long Beach Press-Telegram. The feature film by Taylor Hackford will focus on the police brutality that occurred in 1981 at Signal Hill. Cochran had represented Elmer Pratt sentenced to 27 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.
The script is written by David McMillan ( Lucifer ) and produced by Robbie Brenner ( Dallas Buyers Club ), Jeff Kwatinetz ( Target ) and Kevin McKeon.
For now, Signal Hill has no release date in France.
