Sylvester Stallone Makes Definitive Move to Florida, Leaving California Behind
In a momentous revelation during the premiere of “The Family Stallone” season two, Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone has officially declared his departure from California, opting for a permanent relocation to the welcoming shores of Florida.
Addressing his three daughters, Scarlet, 21, Sistine, 25, and Sophia, 27, alongside his wife of 26 years, Jennifer Flavin, Stallone shared, “After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida.” Underscoring the finality of the decision, he added, “We’re gonna sell this house. We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”
The Stallone family’s transition to Florida has been met with open arms, as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ wife, Casey DeSantis, extended a warm welcome via X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. “Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” Casey exclaimed, sharing a clip of Stallone’s conversation with his daughters. She humorously added, “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”
In 2021, Stallone, known for his role as Rambo, invested in a luxurious $35.4 million property in Palm Beach, as reported by the Palm Beach Daily News. This sprawling estate spans approximately 1.5 lakefront acres, boasting over 250 feet of beachfront with a dock.
The opulent residence, as detailed in its Realtor.com listing, encompasses a main house, a guest house, and a pool pavilion near the keyhole-shaped pool in the backyard, totaling over 13,000 square feet of living space. With seven bedrooms and 12 baths, it stands as a testament to Stallone’s commitment to an exquisite lifestyle.
Since acquiring their Florida home three years ago, Stallone and Jennifer Flavin have divided their time between the coastal state and California. Speaking to Fox News Digital at the “Rocky Day” celebration in December, Flavin expressed her enthusiasm about the move, stating, “It’s an incredible move. I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change.”
Born and raised in California, Flavin explained the family’s shift, noting, “Two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast… so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California.” Embracing the prospect of forging new connections and experiencing a different lifestyle, she emphasized her contentment and happiness with the change.
In the opening scenes of his Netflix documentary, “Sly,” Stallone shed light on the decision to relocate, emphasizing its positive impact on his creativity. “I wasn’t moving because, ‘Oh, wow, I wanted another beautiful view.’ Any time changing that paradigm which you become used to, it’s literally to jump-start that process again,” he explained.
Addressing concerns about crime rates, Flavin clarified in her interview that the move was primarily motivated by the desire for change. “There’s crime everywhere, there’s crime in Florida, too, so I didn’t move because of crime. You can find it anywhere you look, even in small towns,” she asserted.
Acknowledging California’s beauty, she concluded, “I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States. I absolutely love it, but I just needed a change. I felt like I’ve been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life.” The Stallone family now looks forward to embracing a new chapter in the Free State of Florida.
