Harvey Weinstein: Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman’s husband releases a song inspired by the producer
Spread the love

Being married to one of Hollywood’s most prominent actresses, there is no doubt that Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman’s husband,  has been very close to the Weinstein affair that has been shaking up the world of cinema for over a month now.

The country singer paid tribute to the female victims of the men in a title, Female, which he even sang at the Country Music Awards.

He’s not the one who wrote it (Shane McAnally, Nicolle Galyon and Ross Copperman are the authors), but he wants to sing it loud and clear, not just for his actress wife.

Proud words

In this ballad, he sings in particular “When somebody laughs and implied that she asked for it” (in French: when someone laughs and implies that she wanted / just because she wore a skirt / Oh that’s how it works). This is the part that he prefers, as he explained to Rolling Stone Country.

A post shared by Keith Urban (@keithurban) on Oct 18, 2017 at 5:38pm PDT

“The authors wrote it on October 10 and I heard it the next day. I could listen to it hot and I loved it immediately. (…) It touched me, not only as a husband but also as a father of two girls and a son, “he added.
