Gillian Anderson makes her appearance in the fourth season of the popular Netflix series The Crown. The actress, best known as Scully from The X-Files, creeps into the skin of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, reports the website Deadline.
Anderson follows in the footsteps of, among others, Meryl Streep, Patricia Hodge and Jennifer Saunders, who once ventured to play the ‘Iron Lady’. The recordings start this summer.
Fans still have to be patient before they can see Anderson in action at Buckingham Palace. The third series of the TV series has yet to come out, as expected this year. It is the first season with a renewed cast. The Crown replaces his cast because the players of the first two seasons look too young. Every season highlights a period of about ten years.
