Kate Winslet (44) knew exactly what to do just before the corona virus broke out worldwide. The actress played in the film ‘Contagion’, an epidemiologist, which she says she immediately took the right measures.
“People thought I was crazy because I had been wearing a mouth mask for weeks”
“People thought I was crazy because I had been wearing a face mask for weeks, cleaning everything in the supermarket with alcohol and wearing gloves,” Kate tells The Hollywood Reporter . “And then it was March 13th and people thought: shit, how do I get such a mask?”
In the spring, the actress and other actors from Contagion already contributed to a video to encourage people to adhere to the corona measures. “I spent time with some of the best doctors in the world to prepare for the role,” Kate said in the video at the time. “And what was one of the most important things they taught me? Wash your hands often as if your life depended on it, which it might actually do now.”
