R. Kelly once again denied having abused underage girls in an interview with the American television channel CBS. It is the first time that the singer has publicly responded to the accusations to his address since his provisional release.
Kelly is suspect in several abuse cases. In the interview with presenter Gayle King, of which CBS has already released part of, he denied all the allegations he is currently accused of.
When King asked if he had indeed had sex with underage girls, the singer burst into tears. In the controversial documentary Surviving R. Kelly he is accused by several alleged victims.
“How stupid would that be?”, Reacted the emotional Kelly. “To be so stupid to lock them up in my cellar and not give food?” All those rumors, they are all untrue, I have not done this, I’m fighting for my life right now. “
The 52-year-old r & b artist was recently released on bail and is awaiting his trial. He must report to the court on 22 March. The singer stated earlier not to be guilty of the offenses of which he is suspected.
