Disney introduces an LGBTI character for the first time in an animated film. Lesbian one-eyed police officer Specter has one scene in Onward , Yahoo Entertainment reports Friday.
The openly lesbian scriptwriter and actress Lena White has spoken into Specter’s voice. “The character matched the scene,” said Kori Rae, the producer of On ward .\
Onward is set in a fantasy world. Two eleven brothers receive a magical staff that can bring their deceased father to life for 24 hours.
From 6 March Onward can be seen in the cinema, with voices voiced by, among others, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. On Friday, the Disney Pixar animation film had its premiere at the Berlinale film festival in Berlin.
