The actresses Courteney Cox and Katey Sagal have been added to the cast of the upcoming, ninth season of the HBO series Shameless.
According to Variety , Sagal, known for her role as Peggy Bundy in Married with Children , plays a psychiatric patient who befriends Frank (Williem H. Macy).
Cox, best known for her role as Monica in Friends , plays Jen Wagner, a well-known actress who previously had a drinking problem. Emmy Rossum and Justin Chatwin also have roles in the series.
The ninth season of Shameless, which revolves around a dysfunctional family, will be broadcast in two parts. The first part will be published in the autumn of 2018 and the second will follow in early 2019.
