Comic strip author Stan Lee drags his former co-owner of POW! Entertainment for the judge. The 95-year-old American demands compensation of $ 1 billion for misusing his name and image.
Lee, who for Marvel Comics among others creations of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Hulk, Daredevil, Dr. Strange and Iron Man conceived, claiming that he was scammed last year by director Shane Duffy and co-founder Gill Champion when selling the company to Chinese Camsing International.
The Hollywood Reporter now reports that Lee believes his ex-partners have misled him, giving the Chinese company exclusive rights to his image and name.
Eye disease
Lee himself states that he has no problems with Camsing’s rights, but has difficulty with exclusivity. According to him, he never signed the contract and his eye disease was abused, which made him blind. Lee also claims that his signature has been falsified or copied.
Lee also filed a complaint against fraud against his manager Jerardo Olivarez. In addition, the comic author claims that POW! his social media has also been hacked.
