Charlotte has fun, Sophie Lorain’s new feature film, has been selected at the prestigious Tribeca Festival (New York), whose next edition will take place from April 18 to 29.

The festival’s leaders have just made the announcement.

Written by Catherine Léger and starring Marguerite Bouchard, Romane Denis and Rose Adam, this comedy addresses the theme of adolescent sexuality and the different standards that society places on girls and boys when it comes to sexual freedom.

The story of Charlotte and two of her friends, Mégane and Aube, takes place in a Toys Depot store during the holiday season. Part-time employee, Charlotte, who is in pain of love after discovering the homosexuality of her boyfriend, gives herself to heart with all the male employees of the company. A way of detaching from emotional dependence.

The film is currently playing in Quebec.
