Cannes-2018: Penelope Cruz, Julianne Moore, Javier Bardem, Kristen Stewart, Keith Blanchett and others at the opening ceremony

Today the French Riviera is attracted by the attention of journalists from all over the world: the first guests have already appeared on the red carpet of the 71st Cannes Film Festival, so the 12-day movie can be considered open.

The stars began to arrive in Cannes yesterday, and today one after another they appeared before the camera lenses. Participants, organizers of the festival and, of course, jury members became the main characters of the opening ceremony.

The jury of the main competition is headed this year by Cate Blanchett, and helps her to evaluate the new works of filmmakers Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydou, Deni Villeneuve, Andrei Zvyagintsev, Chang Chen, Ava Duverney, Robert Gedigyan and Hadia Nin. All of them first appeared on the traditional photocell and have already passed along the carpet to the Palace of Festivals and Congresses, where they will take to the stage during the official part of the opening ceremony.

The international film marathon is opened by the film of Iranian director Asgar Farhadi – the psychological thriller ” Everybody knows ” (Todos lo saben), the main roles in which were performed by Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
