Camila Cabello’s first solo album “Camila” has already broken a sales record on iTunes. It’s a real global success!
Camila Cabello released her first solo album, “Camila” , on Friday, January 12th. After barely five days, driven by the huge success of his hit “Havana” , he has been number one in iTunes sales in 99 rankings around the world! Unbelievable!
This is the first time an artist has done this feat on Apple’s download platform. Camila Cabello was part of the Fifth Harmony group, which was formed in the US version of the X Factor show in 2012. She left the girlband in December 2016.
Camila Cabello: an excellent start
Camila Cabello explained why she left Fifth Harmony in an interview for the New York Times last week. She said her solo collaboration with Shawn Mendes in 2015 on “I Know What You Did Last Summer” caused tension within the group.
She also testified that she tried to write lyrics for Fifth Harmony but was refused. The singer originally wanted to stay in the band while working on a solo album but the other members put her away, as she explained. She then decided to leave the group to meet the success we have today.
