In a bus accident in Colombia, at least thirteen people were killed. The vehicle was dragged on a mountainside by a landslide. There were seven men, five women and a baby in the bus.
The bus was on its way on the Nariz del Diablo (Devil’s Nose) in the middle of the country on Saturday when the driver was attacked by the avalanche. Probably the earth had shifted due to the heavy rainfall of recent times.
The bus was buried under 5000 cubic meters of stone and earth. It took a day before the bodies could be recovered. Rescue workers are still investigating whether more vehicles may have been dragged along.
