The former spouses will be reunited on screen for the first time in 19 years.
It was recently announced that Brad Pitt will be joining the live readings of the 1982 comedy Rapid Change at Ridgemont High, which also features his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. In addition to them, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, Morgan Freeman, Shia LaBeouf and other top stars will take part in the readings. But who will get what role is still unknown. The virtual event will take place on Thursday, August 20, on Facebook Live and TikTok, and aims to raise funds for CORE, a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against coronavirus.
Brad and Jen met back in 1998, and tied the knot in 2000. They starred together for the only time on an episode of Friends, which aired in November 2001. In January 2005, the couple broke up, and then finally divorced in October of the same year.
This year, Pitt and Aniston greeted each other warmly backstage at the SAG Awards, after which fans of the former couple began to look forward to their reunion. According to a source close to the actors, Pitt apologized to Jen for “mistakes of the past” and it had a good impact on their current relationship.
