Actor Alec Baldwin , who accidentally shot the cameraman and wounded the director on the set, asked the gunsmith of the film to give him a “bigger gun” before filming, according to a warrant to study the actor’s phone data.
The warrant published by the American media provides information about the interrogation of Baldwin, in which he told investigators about the correspondence with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed about the options for weapons for the filming.
“He (Baldwin – ed.) Said there was an exchange of emails between Hannah and him in which she showed him different types of pistols. He said he asked for a bigger gun and she also showed him different types of knives for filming. Alec showed the Colt with a brown handle and a cherry handle, in the end he chose the one with a brown handle, “the document says.
Baldwin fired a pistol loaded with live ammunition while rehearsing an episode on the set of the western “Rust” on October 21. As a result, a native of Ukraine, cameraman Galina Hutchins, died , and director Joel Souza was seriously injured.
