Aretha Franklin would not have prepared a will for her death.
This is evident from documents that TMZ received. This is remarkable because ‘The Queen of Soul’ has a son with special needs, Clarence. He needs financial and medical support throughout his life.
Franklin had been suffering from cancer for years, but has never been shown a will. According to the law of the state of Michigan, where the singer was living, her legacy is now divided among her four children Clarence (63), Edward (61), Ted (54) and Kecalf (48).
Franklin died on 16 August at the age of 76 from the effects of pancreatic cancer. On Friday 31 August, the icon is brought to its final resting place.
