Apple’s new streaming service, starting from November 1 (Apple TV +), has already announced a second season of the For All Mankind series .
In the series we see a world in which NASA astronauts, engineers and their families experience one extraordinary event after another. In the series, Russia puts the first man on the moon, instead of the United States, after which the space race (or ‘spacerace’) intensifies and engineers want to achieve increasingly far-reaching milestones.
The announcement of a second season before the first season is shown is part of Apple’s strategy to get the second seasons of most of its scripted series to launch. This would save costs and prevent major programming gaps.
For All Mankind was specially produced for Apple’s new streaming service. Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt and Jodi Balfour have lead roles in the series.
