Zaho entered the arena of big-budget superhero epics for her next film, Marvel Studios’ Eternals, after becoming the second woman in history to win the Academy Award for Best Director.
Angelina Jolie shared her thoughts on Zaho’s achievement during an interview with CinemaBlend, saying, “She is a special director.”
“I’m very, very happy,” Jolie said when asked about her thoughts on Zhao’s Oscar win. “I think she is a special director. She is a really interesting woman, very considerate, very serious in her work. I think he is bringing a new voice through his films ”.
Marvel Studios’ Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao (The Rider) and features a cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Don Lee, Salma Hayek, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Kumail Nanjiani, Kit Harington, Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan.
