Andrew Garfield knows it doesn’t really matter what he says about the upcoming Spider-Man movie, because fans won’t believe he isn’t featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home anyway .

“It’s important for me to say on the record that this isn’t something I’m consciously involved in,” he told Variety .

“But I know I can’t fool people into thinking I don’t know what’s going on. Anything I say can be misinterpreted. Either people will be hugely disappointed, or it will be fantastic.”

The 38-year-old actor starred in the 2012 and 2014 The Amazing Spider – Man films. Before Garfield, Tobey Maguire starred in three superhero films, and after Garfield, Tom Holland took over in the reboot of the film series that was set in 2017 started with Spider-Man: Homecoming .

Maguire and Garfield are said to star alongside Holland in the new Spider-Man: No Way Home movie .

“I understand why people go crazy with that idea, because I’m a fan myself,” said Garfield. “You immediately dream about possible scenes and moments where you think ‘oh my god, how cool would it be if they did that?'”
