Amber Heard has fulfilled her promise and transferred a considerable amount to the children’s hospital in Los Angeles. The money comes from the settlement she met with Johnny Depp around their divorce in 2016.
From papers held by TMZ, it appears that Heard is included in a list of ‘honorary donors’ of the hospital, people who donated between 1 and 5 million dollars last year.
The actress promised two years ago to donate the $ 7 million that she received from Depp to two charities: the children’s hospital where she has been working for a long time and human rights organization ACLU. At the latter organization, money would go to projects for female victims of violence. Heard accused Depp of domestic violence during their marriage, which lasted a little over a year.
After the commitment, it took a while before the donations actually arrived. According to TMZ, this was because the parties were in favor of who could apply the tax benefit that the donations generate.
