Amber Heard (36) has stated under oath that she was beaten several times by the actor during her marriage to Johnny Depp (58). The 36-year-old actress was asked by her lawyer Elaine Bredehoft if she could remember the first time she was hit, to which Amber replied ‘that moment changed my life’. This reports People.
“I didn’t want the man I loved to be like that”
According to Amber, she had a normal conversation with her Johnny, until she asked him about a tattoo on his body that was difficult to read. When the actor explained it to her, she started laughing, which she says exploded. “It was that simple. I laughed because I thought he was kidding, but then he punched me in the face. Even then I laughed because I didn’t know what to do. I was really convinced that it was was just kidding. I looked at him, waiting for a response, but it never came. Because it wasn’t a joke.”
Johnny Depp is said to have hit her again after calling her a “funny bitch”. “Then it was clear it wasn’t a joke. I thought I would respond, but as a woman I’ve never been beaten in such a way. I’m an adult and sitting next to the man I love who slaps me for no reason.”
Amber became emotional during her statement and said she fell to the ground after the blow Johnny gave her. “I wanted so badly for him to say it was a joke. Because it didn’t hurt me physically, I didn’t want to leave him either. I didn’t want to be in this reality. I didn’t want the man I loved to be like that “because then you can’t go back. I’m not stupid. You can’t hit a woman, you can’t hit a man, you can’t hit anybody.”
Crying, Amber declared as she looked at the judges, “I knew it was wrong and I had to leave him. And that broke my heart. I wish I could sit here and say I’m standing up for myself and out the door.” walked.” She then went on to say that Johnny Depp started to cry after what he did to her and promised her “never do it again”.
Last week, Johnny Depp said during his interrogation that he had “never hit Mrs. Heard”. The actor also stated that he had never hit a woman at all.
