More than 100 occupants of a passenger plane have miraculously survived a crash in Mexico. The plane crashed just after takeoff.
In the crash, 85 people were injured, 37 of whom were taken to the hospital. Two of them are in serious condition. Due to the crash, part of the aircraft caught fire, but most people were able to leave the aircraft themselves.
“I was lucky, I turned around and there was a gap”, says one of the survivors. “It was not the door, but a hole in the plane, I unhooked my son’s leash and we went through the gap, we jumped.” He saw that several people were injured by the flames. “A girl walked with us, I was worried about her burns, she was very scared, she could not sit, she could not do anything.”

The aircraft of the Mexican airline Aeroméxico departed from the airport Guadalupe Victoria International Airport, in the north of the country. The aircraft was on its way to Mexico City, with 99 passengers and four crew members on board.
It went wrong just after takeoff. At about 10 kilometers from the airport the plane crashed into a meadow. Television images show a plane lying in a field. Black smoke clouds rise from the device.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. Because of the weather, the pilot might want to break off the start at the last minute. It had rained according to the governor and there was a storm coming.
