Alicia Vikandar is going to be the new iconic Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. It’s been 15 years when Angelina Jolie graced the big screen as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider heroine. Alicia Vikandar will be playing as heroine in the New Tomb Raider as Lara Croft, the story of the movie is being drawn from the video game of Crystal Dynamics 2013, reboot of the franchise. The movie is going to be in theaters in 2018. You can see the exclusive look of Vikandar as Lara Croft.
Tomb Raider, directed by Roar Uthaug and co-starring Dominic West, Walton Goggins, and Daniel Wu, comes to theaters on March 16, 2018.
According to an interview published the director Roar Uthaug said that we are in the wrapping-up the South African portion of shoot and would be moving to London for further recordings.
Roar Uthaug said that they had drawn lot of inspiration from the game and the Tomb Raider to develop of their world, he also said that he is hopeful that the fans would recognize that.
He also added that he is have many inspirations for this movie from modern action movies as well as classic survival movies. Roar also said that he is trying to bring some of his European sesibilities in the character development.
