In the galaxy comics this time it is neither Marvel nor DC who are in the spotlight but Valiant and his superhero Bloodshot.

For latecomers: In January 2018, The Wrap relayed the news that Fast & Furious star and xXx,  Vin Diesel, was negotiating with Sony Pictures to embody the Bloodshot superhero . A protagonist from a series of comics published by Valiant, which has sold more than 7.5 million copies worldwide.

Serious things can finally begin for the feature film. Via his Instagram account, Vin Diesel has officially announced in video the launch of the shoot. It takes place in South Africa under the direction of director  Dave Wilson , unknown to the battalion, and  Eric Heisserer ( First Contact ) on the screen writing part.

In the company of the director of the feature film, the actor seems happy enough to start filming and promises his fans that he will give the best of himself to best embody the character. For those who do not know him too well,  Bloodshot is a character created in 1992 that tells the story of a fatally wounded former soldier who will be resurrected by the miracles of nano technology.

Bloodshot is the result of a program called Rising Spirit, which seeks to create the ultimate soldier for decades.

Alongside Vin Diesel and Eiza Gonz├ílez  ( Baby Driver ) it is now the turn of the legendary Guy Pearce to possibly join the filming of Bloodshot . In talks with Sony Pictures, the actor would take the role originally given to Michael Sheen , according to information relayed by The Wrap. Guy Pearce would then embody Dr. Emil Harting , a science genius who is very interested in nano technology.

Scheduled for February 26, 2020 in France, Bloodshot should soon be revealed little by little in the weeks to follow. Deadline also reported that  Bloodshot would be  “close to the 80s blockbusters like RoboCop , Total Recall and Terminator “.  What revive a little interest of the spectators to the heroic genre after indigestion of the Marvel and DC.
