Wizards of the Coast, the team behind the famous Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering , have announced a partnership with Netflix and the Russo brothers ( Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame ) to produce an animated series Magic: The Gathering!
Magic: The Gathering is a trading card game created by Richard Garfield and launched in 1993. The game is also playable for free in digital format currently in beta . Joe and Anthony Russo will be the producers of the Magic: The Gathering series, which will be created by those who have worked on famous productions such as Spider-Man: New Generation, Batman: The Animated Series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Firefly , Carter Agent, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Lego movies. Henry Gilroy (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Jose Molina will be the showrunners of this series, and it is the Canadian studio Bardel Entertainment (Rick and Morty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc.) that will be responsible for the animation. For the moment, no release date has been indicated.
