Adele, the popular singer known for her hit song “Hold On,” is just like many of us in her excitement for the upcoming Super Bowl LVII.
She has expressed her eagerness for the event but for one reason and one reason only, to watch Rihanna perform during the halftime show.
During her recent residency show in Las Vegas, Adele confirmed to the audience that she would be attending Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix next weekend specifically to watch Rihanna’s performance. The confirmation was captured in videos shared on social media platforms and in them, Adele could be heard saying, “I’m going just for Rihanna. I don’t give a flying freaking f—.” This statement highlights the extent of Adele’s excitement for the performance and her love for the artist.
The upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, which Rihanna will be performing in, has been teased by the show’s musical director, Adam Blackstone, to be “epic.” In an interview with Good Morning America earlier this week, Blackstone stated that he wants the halftime show to be a moment in time that people will never forget. He added that they are “forcing the concert in the middle of the biggest sporting event in the world,” indicating that the halftime show will be a unique and unprecedented experience.

Last week, she confirmed her attendance at the Grammys this weekend, putting to rest rumors that she wouldn’t be attending. During her performance, Adele expressed her frustration with the rumors and stated that she would never miss the Grammys or be disrespectful to the awards show or other artists.
Adele has received multiple nominations at this year’s Grammys, with a total of six nods including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, and Best Music Film. The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah and will be broadcast live from LA’s Crypto.com Arena on February 5th at 8 p.m. ET.
