According to the author of a new book on the British royal family, Meghan Markle enjoyed the attention and stardom that came with her marriage to Prince Harry.
Valentine Low, the author of “Courtiers: Intrigue, Ambition, and the Power Players Behind the House of Windsor,” told Fox News that the Duchess of Sussex was “less interested in the mundane tasks often performed by members of the royal family” and more interested in the attention and adulation.
The author stated that despite enjoying the attention, Meghan did not understand the purpose of the “walkabouts” and meeting strangers as part of her royal duties.
Valentine Low also shared that Meghan Markle had the ambition to be the “Beyonce of the UK.”
In a scene from the couple’s Netflix documentary, Meghan receives a text message from Beyoncé.
The Duchess of Sussex then read the message to Prince Harry.
