Willie Nelson knows how to stop. The 86-year-old country legend is releasing his seventieth studio album in April. The album, which will be released on April 24, will be called ‘First Rose of Spring’, Billboard knows.
The album, of which the title song was released on Friday, contains a total of eleven songs. In addition to two original songs, “Love Just Laughed” and “Blue Star,” this album also contains a large number of covers. For example, Nelson dusted Toby Keith’s ‘Don’t Let The Old Man In’ and made his own version of Chris Stapleton’s ‘Our Song’. First Rose of Spring is the successor to Ride Me Back Home that appeared last year.
Willie has been struggling with health problems for some time. As a result, he had to cancel a performance several times. That is why he recently decided to stop smoking weed. Persistent respiratory problems are forcing him to “take better care of himself,” he said in December.
