Actress Katherine Helmond passed away on Friday at the age of 89. The Texan died of the effects of Alzheimer’s.
Helmond died in her hometown of Los Angeles, writes The Hollywood Reporterafter confirming her management.
The actress made a furore in the sitcom Who’s the Boss , in which she plays the role of Mona Robinson. In addition, she made her appearance as Lois Whelan in Everybody loves Raymond . The Texan received a Golden Globe for both roles.
Helmond also lent her voice to the series Cars . She took care of the voice of Lizzie, a 1923 Ford Model T. More recently she made her appearance in the series True Blood .
