The BBC TV channel presented the first official trailer for the new film adaptation of Victor Hugo’s La Miserables. The movie takes the audience to the 19th century France and presents them with the fragile Fantinu, the courageous Jean Valjean and the dark-skinned inspector Javera performed by popular British actors.
“Whatever you think, you won’t win,” says Javert to the convict Valjean, who is already on the run in another frame. After the death of an old friend of Fantines, he tries to correct his past mistakes. “It may seem impossible, but kindness and love can change a person,” says the priest. This is what Jean Valjean, who takes care of Cozette, the only daughter of Fantine, strives for. He will have to go the hard way, hiding from the prowl inspector Javera, while the revolution takes place on the streets of Paris.
In the six-episode miniseries, Lily Collins played the role of Fantine, Jean Valjean’s sweetheart, performed by Dominic West. For the embodiment of the image of the unshakable inspector Javer took David Oyelowo. The showmanner of the project was Andrew Davis, known for the TV series “House of Cards”. The director’s chair was taken by director of “Luke Cage” and “The Punisher” Tom Shankland. The premiere of “Les Miserables” will be held next year on Air Force One.
