Colorado Mother Suspected in Children’s Deaths Apprehended in U.K.
Kimberlee Singler, a 35-year-old woman facing charges of murder, attempted murder, child abuse, and assault in Colorado Springs, has been arrested in the United Kingdom, according to local police reports. The arrest was made over the weekend by U.K. authorities, who took Singler into custody without incident.
Details surrounding the apprehension, including the specific location and potential extradition proceedings, are currently pending, as confirmed by the Colorado Springs Police Department late Sunday. Detectives from the homicide unit are actively collaborating with multiple law enforcement agencies to further the ongoing investigation.
Singler had been the subject of an arrest warrant related to the alleged crimes, with the charges stemming from an incident on December 19. Responding to a 911 call reporting a burglary at Singler’s condo unit, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. Singler and her 11-year-old daughter were found injured and subsequently hospitalized.

Further investigation revealed that the reported burglary was unfounded, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Singler, who had last been seen on December 23. The suspect and her estranged husband have been involved in a protracted and acrimonious divorce case, as indicated by court records.
The Colorado Springs Police Department continues to diligently pursue the case in collaboration with law enforcement partners to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident and bring justice to the affected parties.
