Istanbul | A Turkish court on Thursday sentenced 25 journalists to up to seven and a half years in prison after one of several trials related to the coup attempt of July 2016, according to the news agency. Dogan press.
Most of those sentenced collaborated with media outlets close to the movement of preacher Fethullah Gulen, accused by Ankara of hatching the failed coup, but all deny any involvement in the attempt to overthrow the Turkish government.
