Tom Petty the famous singer-songwriter was rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica
Initially it was reported by many news that Tom Petty passed away due to cardiac arrest but later LAPD apologized for the “inadvertently provided information which claimed that he passed away.
TheGuardian also confirmed that he is in serious condition but still alive.
Tom Petty the famous singer-songwriter was rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica hospital on Monday night when he was found unresponsive in his home in Malibu.
Initially, reports which were provided to the reporters by the LAPD sources confirmed that Tom Petty passed away.
But in the later hours, it was tweeted by the LAPD that they don’t have any type of confirmation about the death Tom Petty.
Although the current condition of Tom Petty is unknow but his family and friends are praying for him. Fellow music star Sheryl Crow tweeted her well wishes to Petty, saying “I love you so much. You are in my prayers.”

Petty started blooming into the music scene in 1976 with his group ” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Many superhits were launched by the group for several decades which includes “American Girl,” “Free Falin’,” “Refugee” and “I Won’t Back Down.” He was also a member of the supergroup collective the Traveling Wilburys in the late ’80s alongside Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne.
According to a report provided by the Huffpost Legendary Singer has been reportedly taken off the life support but he is not dead.
