Kim Kardashian (41) stunned friend and foe alike when she appeared on the Met Gala red carpet in an iconic dress once worn by Marilyn Monroe. Over the dress, Kim constantly wore a large white scarf. Although it looked nice, it also had another reason: Kim couldn’t close the dress, so the back had to be covered. That writes ‘The Daily Mail’.
In a video from the museum where the reality star borrowed the dress, Kim is seen panicking as her team struggles to get the outfit over her famous big derriere.
Despite not being able to zip it all the way up, Kim was relieved when they realized they could just cover the back with a white fur scarf. Kim previously revealed that she lost 7 pounds to fit the dress.
Kim Kardashian posted the photos of the her stunning curvy body saying “I am so honored to be wearing the iconic dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy. It is a stunning skintight gown adorned with more than 6,000 hand-sewn crystals by costumier Jean Louis.
Thank you Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for giving me the opportunity to debut this evocative piece of fashion history for the first time since the late Marilyn Monroe wore it. I am forever grateful for this moment. ✨🕊”
