It is hoped that there will be no more delays.
The production of the eleventh season of The Walking Dead was supposed to start in the spring of last year, but the coronavirus pandemic confused the creators of all plans. As a result, it was only in October that the film crew managed to get back together to work on six additional episodes of the tenth season, which were intended to fully reveal the stories of the characters, and at the same time brighten up the anticipation of the ending.
And finally it became known that the shooting of the final 24 episodes of the show had already begun. Writer and producer Kevin Deiboldt told about this on his Twitter. “Kudos to our team and actors for the long awaited start of filming for Season 11. We spent a whole year at work and sincerely hope that the wait is worth it, ”he wrote, and also added to the publication a funny welcome picture, which depicts a zombie.
Kudos to our crew and cast (asskickers, the lot of ‘em!) on the long-awaited start of filming for S11. A full (effed up) year in the works, we truly hope it’s worth the wait. #TWD #TheWalkingDead pic.twitter.com/nyeoQO20ZX

The mastermind of The Walking Dead universe, Scott Gimple, emphasized in an interview that the end of the project’s main storyline would only begin new stories. “Completely new stories and characters, familiar faces and places, new voices and new legends await you. It will be a grand finale that will lead to new premieres. Evolution is approaching. The Walking Dead are alive, ”he intrigued.

With six additional episodes of the tenth season still to come, fans will see the survivors struggling to cope with what the Whisperers have done to them. Years of struggle have not been in vain, and the characters will have to cope with their own demons and find inner strength to continue building a new world.
The first additional episode will premiere on AMC on 28 February.
