The popular idol of the 70s David Cassidy died Tuesday night, confirmed his agent Jo-Ann Geffen CNN.
The 67-year-old singer and actor, who enjoyed the fame “The Partridge Family”, was plunged into an artificial coma after the deterioration of his liver and kidneys.
“David died surrounded by his family with joy in his heart, without any pain. Thank you all for the love and support during all these years, “reads his agent’s statement.
Mr. Cassidy had been in intensive care at a hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a few days. His family was at his bedside.
David Cassidy has had serious alcohol problems throughout his life and announced last March that he was suffering from dementia.
