One of Ana Walshe’s friends said that the missing Massachusetts mother’s loyalty and kindness towards her husband and suspected killer may have led to her death.
The friend hopes that justice will be served. Brian Walshe, Ana’s husband, is set to be arraigned in court on Wednesday as he has been charged with murder in connection with his wife’s disappearance.
He has been in jail since January 8th, when he was charged with hindering the police investigation by attempting to conceal evidence and lying about his actions following Ana’s disappearance on New Year’s Day.
Natasha Babushkina, one of Ana’s friends, expressed her relief that Brian is facing a murder charge. “I feel absolute relief and hope for justice,” Babushkina told Fox News Digital.
Natasha Babushkina, one of Ana Walshe’s friends, said that when she found out about Brian’s arrest, it was a relief for many people. She said not having the possibility of bringing Brian to justice would have been an absolute horror story for Ana and her children. Babushkina also said that the murder charge brings a measure of closure to the case, which has received national attention.
She added that the police must have significant proof, such as blood tests, to support the charge and that she believes the truth is better than knowing nothing. Additionally, Babushkina believes that Ana’s loyalty to her husband may have led to her death.
The three sons of Ana and Brian Walshe, who are aged 2, 4 and 6, have been taken into custody by the Department of Children and Families.
“On Tuesday, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey did not reveal what additional evidence led to the murder charge against Brian. He stated that further details of the investigation and the evidence supporting the charges will be presented at the arraignment, but will not be disclosed at this time.”
“Brian told investigators that he last saw his 39-year-old wife alive on the morning of January 1st, when he claims she left their home in the town of Cohasset for a “work emergency.” Ana worked for property developer Tishman Speyer and commuted between Massachusetts and Washington, DC. However, there are no records of her taking a rideshare or boarding a flight to DC.”
“Her employer was the first to report her missing around noon on January 4th, while Brian only reported her disappearance later that day. Surveillance footage showed Brian purchasing $450 worth of cleaning supplies at a Home Depot on January 2nd. Additionally, police discovered a broken knife and blood in the basement of the couple’s home, however, prosecutors have not revealed whose blood it is.”
