The first images of this little film of contamination and cannibal monsters have just been revealed. On the program, Ellen Page, infected putrid and nothing very exciting.
Years after Europe was ravaged by the Maze virus that turns humans into human eaters, an antidote is finally found. Sean Brown (Sam Keeley), a young man haunted by his difficult past, decides to return to live with his sister-in-law (Ellen Page) who has become a widow. In this context, fear and suspicion will settle and perhaps plunge the world back into chaos. This is the pitch of the film which has, it must be said, nothing very original.
The return of the living dead.
While the genre of the zombie movie seems totally saturated for more than two decades now, The Cured belongs to this new wave dealing with the figure of the living dead under a prism ” more authoring ” and melodramatic. A vision of the images of his trailer, we think so 28 weeks later , Maggie or The Last Girl: The one who has all the gifts. The impression of déjà vu does not play thus unfortunately not in favor of this new feature film by David Freyne which is here the first achievement.
