This is a terrible drama that occurred in the United States, in the state of Maine, Monday morning. Desiree Strout, a 27-year-old mother of two, was traveling with her husband Harry to the hospital to give birth to her third child when the couple had a terrible car accident. She did not survive, unlike the child who is in critical condition.
It was the mother-to-be who was driving the Chevrolet pickup truck and lost control of her vehicle because of the ice storm. The car rolled several times before coming to rest on a frozen pond. When help arrived at the scene, Desiree was in critical condition, while her husband Harry, 29, was seriously injured.
The helpers decided to give birth to the child by caesarean section on the side of the road. The doctors did not want to give any news about his state of health, but according to Central Maine , he is a little boy and he is in critical condition.
The young woman, already the mother of two little girls, unfortunately died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Her husband has a perforated lung and severe liver damage, but he should be fine.
Travis Weston, a relative of Desiree, told Central Maine that the young woman considered her pick-up as “her baby, and she would not let anyone drive him” in his place.
