According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, Fox Entertainment is reportedly developing a new version of the popular 1970s show ‘Starsky & Hutch’, but with a modern twist.
The reboot will feature two female leads, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson, who work as police officers to solve crimes while also trying to uncover the truth behind their fathers’ wrongful imprisonment 15 years ago.
The original series ran from 1975 to 1979 and followed David Starsky and Kenneth Hutchinson, played by Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul. The two cops raced around solving crimes in a red Ford Gran Torino, which became iconic for the series. A cinema version of the TV series followed in 2004. The lead roles were played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
