A man has in the street on several passers-by in the Austrian capital Vienna.
Before the door of a Japanese restaurant, at the entrance of the subway, three people were suddenly attacked by the man with a knife. The victims are a father, mother and their daughter. The police are still in the dark about a motive for the attack.
Half an hour later, there was a stabbing at a distance where a Chechen was stabbed. The police have arrested an Afghan man in response to this.
“Here, too, the victim has been seriously injured and is in mortal danger”, says a spokesperson for the Vienna police. “We do not know if there is a connection and we do not know anything about a possible motive behind the attack.” The police emphasizes that they want to quickly find out with witnesses whether the arrested suspect is also responsible for the attack on the Austrian family.
