Selena Gomez (30) has given text and explanation about her weight gain on TikTok. The singer has received many questions why she looks a bit fuller.
“I’m not a model and never will be”
Selena suffers from the autoimmune disease Lupus and takes medication for it. “When I take it, I tend to hold on to a lot of water weight, and it’s quite normal for that to happen. If I don’t take it, I lose weight again,” she tells her fans.
The actress does not want to risk her health for her appearance. “We have days where we might feel like shit, but I prefer to be healthy and take care of myself. My meds are important. I believe they help me.”
“I’m not a model and never will be. I love models, but I’m just definitely not one,” she continues. She also wants to support others in similar situations. “I just want people to know that they are beautiful and amazing.”
