One of the guns that Sean Connery used during his first appearance as secret agent James Bond in the movie Dr. No used in 1962 has been sold in the United States for $ 256,000 ($ 251,000). Auction house Julien’s Auctions announced this on Thursday (local time).
The auction house already took into account that the weapon, a Walther PP, would make a lot of money. Who bought it is unknown.
A photo of Sean Connery with the gun graced the catalog of the Icons & Idols auction, where more than 500 Hollywood memorabilia went under the hammer.
The Scottish actor died in the Bahamas on October 31 this year at the age of ninety. Connery was the first James Bond actor and, for many fans, the best.
He played the British secret agent seven times between 1962 and 1983.
