Held at the end of summer in Venice, the film festival will bring together many guests from Hollywood, and Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver and Laura Dern were among the first to take the red carpet.
A star-studded trinity from Hollywood arrived in Venice for a photocall of her new film “Marriage Story”. Joining the actors on the red carpet, film director Noah Baumbak described his new project as follows:
“This is a love story that we show through destruction. “I wanted to show the relationship through the eyes of both characters – because each story has several sides, and our film combines these different points of view in order to find a common truth.”
Scarlett Johansson also found something to tell – it turns out that she came to agree on a role in the film during her own divorce:
“I was just going through my divorce. I didn’t even know what kind of project we were going to discuss … I just flew into the room, ordered a glass of white wine and started complaining. And he just listened to me, was so attentive … And then he suddenly said: “Speaking of divorces.”
The actress noted that “Marriage Story” seemed to her a project almost fateful – and even turned up at the very “right” time. “Marriage Story” will be released on Netflix on December 6, and a month before, from November 6, it will appear in a limited rental (though, so far only in American cinemas).
