Scandalous advertising Snapchat, in which its creators laughed at the fight between Chris Brown and Rihanna, happened in 2009, made a lot of noise in the network and greatly outraged Internet users. Despite the fact that soon Snapchat apologized to the singer, she did not accept them and wrote an angry message in her Instagram:
Snapchat, I think you already know that you are not among my favorite applications. I just want to understand what the meaning of this whole story was. I would like to call it ignorance, but I know that you are not that stupid. You spent money to make animation characters that would deliberately dishonor those who were victims of violence and laugh at them. It’s not my personal feelings, because there are not so many of them. But you humiliated children, women and men who were victims of domestic violence,
– she wrote and urged everyone to stop using this application.
This advertisement is horrible, and it should never have appeared in Snapchat. We made a monstrous mistake, overlooked it and allowed the advertisement to appear in the application. We are investigating this incident to make sure that this will not happen again,
– representatives of the company wrote in response to Rihanna’s messages.
Recall that in the advertisement, users were offered to slap Rihanna or hit Chris Brown.
