The rights of the film Redbad by director Roel Reiné have already been sold to fourteen countries. The historical epic has been purchased by distributors in the United Kingdom and former Yugoslavia at the Cannes festival, and sales agent Incredible Film announced it on Saturday.
Earlier, the rights were already sold to the US and various countries in the Middle East. The film can be seen in the Netherlands at the end of June.
Redbad talks about the Frisian hero Radboud (Gijs Naber), who fought in the early Middle Ages with the help of the Vikings against the Christians who forced their faith firmly in the lowlands.
Other leading roles are played by Lisa Smit, Egbert Jan Weeber, Loes Haverkort, Derek de Lint, Martijn Fischer and Aus Greidanus sr .. On Sunday 27 May, Reiné will give a synthesizer concert in the Netherlands. The Dutchman is one of four performers that evening during the Modulation Event in concert hall Kytopia in Utrecht.
