Capcom announces that the porting of Resident Evil 7 on the Nintendo Hybrid Console will be inviting on the eShop via the cloud, a technology that makes it possible to put storage data or software on servers located remotely.
After Sega’s Phantasy Star Online 2 last March, Resident Evil 7 will also be available on Nintendo Switch with a cloud version. The machine of the Kyoto firm is not as powerful as a PS4 or Xbox One, the Japanese publisher Capcom will offer Japanese players to download next Thursday a launcher 45 MB on the eShop to stream the new installment of the famous survival-horror saga. If the constraints related to the technical aspects of the console are thus hindered, it will be necessary to have a good internet connection (the ideal being to have the fiber) to be able to enjoy it properly.
The first fifteen minutes of Resident Evil 7 will be free. It will then pay the sum of 2000 yen (not far from 19 euros per home) to unlock access to the game for 180 days, or about six months. The famous cloud version of this new Resident Evil will offer the same content as the Gold Edition with the presence of additional content Video Prohibited Vol.1, Video Prohibited Vol.2, Not a Hero and End of Zoe. If the Japanese version will only ship the Japanese language, Capcom has not announced anything for the West currently. Some fans will have to take their trouble. Let’s bet that third-party publishers will democratize cloud gaming on Switch with the help of Nintendo.
