In an interview with Tracee Ellis Ross (48) for ‘Interview’ magazine, Reese Witherspoon (45) said that the role she played in the 2014 film ‘Wild’ caused her panic attacks. The actress was concerned about several things, such as nudity, sexuality and the use of drugs.
“It has demanded a lot of me mentally and taking on such a challenge is very nice”
“I was so afraid to start on this project beforehand. Three weeks before the shooting started I had a blind panic, also because I had to do a lot of scenes on my own. I had never played alone, let alone 25 shooting days in a row. It’s always nice to have an opponent, but now I was alone with a camera crew and I was worried it was going to be really boring,” said Reese.
To get the job done, a hypnotist was called in. “That has helped me a lot and when I look back on it now, that role has shaped me very much as a woman and actress. It took a lot of me mentally and taking on such a challenge is very nice.”
Witherspoon was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Wild .
